We are seeking an experienced and talented Assistant Chef to assist our Head Chef in creating delicious and visually appealing dishes for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing a variety of cuisine styles and possess a passion for cooking and food. As an Assistant Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
• Assist in ensuring that food quality and presentation meet company standards
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
• Ensure all kitchen equipment and tools are clean and in good working order
• Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering ingredients and supplies as needed
• Adhere to all safety and health standards in the kitchen
• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an assistant chef or similar role
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Culinary school degree or equivalent experience preferred
